A proper moisturising routine for healthy natural hair begins on washday, from avoiding harsh stripping products, to using efficient deep conditioners. But there are tons of deep conditioners available in the market. Reviews will help you narrow down your options and choose which one would be worth your money. Thus, we reviewed the BelleStar Natural Hair Shea Butter, Coconut Oil & Avocado Oil Deep Moisturising Conditioner to help you make better shopping decisions.

Ingredients

Water, shea butter, jojoba oil, glycerin, Coconut oil, avocado oil, vitamin E, hydrolyzed silk protein, and some alcohols and ingredients as in their shampoo.

The promise

To deeply moisturise, hydrate, detangle, condition, and transform your hair by offering an intense treatment from its natural ingredients.

The performance

After using the BelleStar deep conditioner, these are the noticeable pros and cons.

Pros

As with the shampoo, the BelleStar deep conditioner comes in a 500ml/16 fl. Oz bottle that easily lets products out when gently pressed.

When compared to other deep conditioners of similar size and function, this deep conditioner from BelleStar is inexpensive, going for two thousand, two hundred naira (2200NGN) or thirty Ghana cedis (30GHC) on their website.

Once it coats the hair strands, the conditioner leaves good slippage, allowing fingers, a comb, brush, or any other detangling tool to easily glide through. (This was the effect on coily hair. Curly hair may require a lesser amount. Kinky hair, on the other hand, might need a little extra amount and gentleness while detangling due to the tight nature of its curls).

Hair with highly porous strands will naturally absorb products easily. However, the BelleStar deep conditioner penetrates into low porosity hair fairly easily because it has a non-heavy liquid cream consistency. To speed up the process, a steam cap or some form of indirect heat may be used. While you leave in the conditioner to absorb, you’d experience a soothing tingling sensation resulting from mint; it’s almost therapeutic.

At the end of the deep conditioning session, the BelleStar deep conditioner leaves hair moisturized and conditioned as promised. This is seen in how soft to touch, defined, and bouncy the coils, kinks, and curls become after rinsing off the conditioner.

This BelleStar product also smells really good. We wish they included the exact fragrance because it would be easier to explain, but it smells like a really nice air freshener and it lasts for hours after use.

Cons

Since the deep conditioner has the same packaging as the shampoo, they both face the same risk of having the label crease. This will, however, not be a bother if you don’t mind what a product looks like as long as it works. And if you handle gently, you might not have to bother about crease at all.

Final Thoughts

With only a few negligible cons, the BelleStar deep moisturizing conditioner is great for infusing moisture into your hair. Suitable for coily, kinky, and curly hair of different porosities, you can look forward to a great washday experience with this deep conditioner.
